How This Calculator Works
The tool converts your room dimensions to square feet, multiplies by your pour depth to estimate volume, and scales your product's rated coverage (normally listed per bag at a 1/8 in depth) to your actual depth. A configurable waste allowance is added on top, and the bag count is rounded up to a whole bag.
Tips for Accurate Estimates
- Use the coverage figure printed on your specific product's bag or data sheet, not a generic number.
- Measure depth at a few points in the room and average them if the subfloor isn't perfectly flat.
- Round up rather than down — running short mid-pour is a common cause of visible seams.
